They thought they had found an old book.

...but the book had found them first.

The veil is thin. You are not here by chance. Sound: off

Welcome to Riveria

Long before the first stone of Riveria was laid, the world was held together by older things — root, rune, and the patient memory of trees. Those who crossed over did not choose the crossing. The book chose them.

What follows in these pages is not history, not quite. It is what remains after history has been told too many times by too many tongues — wizards who bent the old laws, dwarves who kept what should stay buried, dryads older than any door, druids who walked between root and rune, and the heroes who crossed without knowing they would.
